A variety of authors have contributed readings. Linked to each reading is a brief biographical sketch of the author(s) to give you some insight into the author(s).
Some authors are highly respected, “big names” in the field, while others are lesser known, but are knowledgeable in the field of testing and assessment. By making it possible for both the “big” and the “lesser” name authors to contribute readings, it is hoped that this will encourage more “lesser name” researchers, academics and clinicians/practitioners to consider submitting a manuscript to the editors for possible inclusion in ORTA. If you are interested to develop a reading you should contact either Marise Born (born@fsw.eur.nl) or Cheryl Foxcroft (cheryl.foxcroft@nmmu.ac.za) and provide a brief outline of the reading that you would like to develop along with your resume/curriculum vitae. Prior to doing this you might want to get a better idea of what is involved in developing a reading for ORTA. Please click on the section on the ORTA website called “Information to Authors”. Here you will find basic instructions related to how to prepare a manuscript, you will find an outline of the manuscript review and refinement process, and you can access some materials and PowerPoint presentations that the editors have prepared to assist you to prepare manuscripts that are “reader-friendly” for 2nd/3rd language English speakers.
Finally, the editors (Marise and Cheryl) would like to hear from you regarding whether you are finding the readings useful, how you are using them, what suggestions you have regarding readings that you would like to be added, and so on. Your comments and suggestions can help us to provide meaningful readings to ensure that the vision of ORTA is realized.
