Conference Purpose

This International Test Commission (ITC) conference highlights methods for developing and using tests and assessment data in a manner that helps ensure fairness for all individuals, regardless of age, gender, race/ethnicity, and exceptionality. The conference explores issues related to equitable assessment practices and fairness in testing as well as offers skill-building training in assessment and psychometric practice. Invited workshops on assessment and measurement and conference presentations highlight recent advances in theory, research, and practices that promote equity to those who take tests, use test results, and are engaged in test development and distribution.

A primary goal of this ITC conference is to develop, publish, and promote international guidelines dedicated to equitable assessment practices.
